Configuration
Direct link to topic in this publication:

Following the setup, the configuration wizard will be started. Due to the high amount of configuration options, it looks a bit complex at the beginning, but mostly it is self-explanatory and filled with useful default values.

FireStart Server - Basic

Database

Source:
Name of the SQL Server (possibly with instance) with the FireStart database.
Catalog:
Name of the FireStart database.
SQL Authentication:Configuration whether SQL Authentication should be used or not.

SQL-UserPassword:This contains the password to the previously configured SQL-UserName.

Service Credentials

Login Credentials of the FireStart windows service (Hint: the account must have privileges to be used as a service account).

External Server (reverse proxy)

If suing a reverse proxy, you must define both internal and external (reverse proxy) Names and Ports. In this instance, simply leave the internal (FireStart) server value as its default and input the values related to your chosen reverse proxy server.  However, if  you are not using a reverse proxy - as most customers choose to do - simply set both the internal and externam Names and the internal and external Ports to the same value respectively.

Web Portal Name/Port:

(see section “Certificate” for more information).

File-Database

Source:
Name of the SQL Server instance.
Catalog:
Name of the database which manages the files. Has to differ from the one used for FireStart.
Path:Path of the file database.
SQL Authentication:Determines whether SQL Authentication or Windows Authentication should be used.
SQL-UserName:If SQL Authentication is used, a SQL user needs to be specified.
SQL-UserPassword:If SQL Authentication is used, the password needs to be specified here.

To learn how to set up the SQL FileStream, please have a look at the equally named topic.
